"1955-56 - Evensong Coronation Ceremony, [Queen] Virginia Cook" The Queen sits on a throne on a raised platform. On either side of her stands two gentlemen in caps and gowns. Fanning out from the sides of the platform stand the other six young women of her court. The ladies are all dressed in long, sleeveless gowns with cords crossed at the chest and tied at the waist. They are all holding bouquets of flowers. [This photo appears in the 1956 Mountaineer yearbook, pg. 24.]
