"Pic Ident: Winter hits the Eastern Oregon College campus at La Grande. In the background is the Walter M. Pierce Library, the holdings of which include 35,000 volumes of books, 6,000 public documents, 9,000 pamphlets, 4,500 mounted pictures, 400 recordings, and a rapidly growing collection of audio-visual materials." In the foreground, a group of young men are walking together on sidewalks cleared of snow, and there are a couple of 1950's era cars near them.
