1961 Parade, Jr. Class Float
Parades & processions
"Junior Class Float entered in the Homecoming Parade in support of Ballot Measure 6. A bond which will authorize an increase in the amount of money which may be borrowed to build self-liquidating college buildings." [Photo and description appear in the 1961 Mountaineer yearbook, pg.131.] The float is pulled by a pickup truck, and there are signs displayed on it which read: "Hop In, Test the Best" and "Vote Yes No. 6." Hunt Hall is visible in the background.
