"March 1912 - Transferring crates from wagons to homemade sleds on way to Billy Meadows. Ready to proceed --- Block and tackle were thrown over the limb of a huge Ponderosa pine tree and the men provided the muscle to transfer the crates from wagons to homemade sleds on their journey to Billy Meadows pasture. It was considered a priveledge to be allowed along and to furnish teams and wagons."
