Description
"March 1912 - Elk on way from Jackson Hole, Wyo. to St. Anthony, Ida. (and Billy Meadows). Makeshift sleds, or 'Go-Devils' were used for the last eight miles of the trip to Billy Meadows. Crates had been built on wagon beds so were hoisted as a unit and transferred from wagons to the sleds when the going became too rough for a wheeled vehicle."
