"1955-56 - Evensong Court" Queen Virginia Cook sits on one of the stone banisters of the Grand Staircase. The six ladies of her court stand on either side of her. They are all wearing less formal, waisted, dresses. The Queen has a corsage on her left shoulder. Trees and hills are visible in the background.
