Description
"A storm over Teton Pass, Wyoming, provides a challenge to man and beast. It was just the beginning of a long trek for 15 Rocky Mountain elk on their way to St. Anthony, Idaho, from Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and on to Joseph, Oregon in March of 1912. From Joseph the animals were hauled to Billy Meadows in the Chesnimnus Unit of Wallowa County. This was the first of several such imports of elk into the area."
