Liberty Ship, Super Structure 2
"Scene of the super structure of the Liberty Ship 'Russell Sage" From "Darkroom Soldier": "Superstructure Sunrise. Waiting for nearly a month on board the Russell Sage, Hill took every opportunity to photograph the dramatic natural events from the deck of the ship. On July 23, Hill reported to Martha that they received orders for seven of Hill's Photo section... 'to fly via our own aircraft from Hollandia strip' to Biak -- now secured -- where the Air Force needed more men to put up the Mokmer airfield camp." ("Darkroom Soldier" caption authored by George Venn)
