Art, Kunai Grass Heads
"Infra Red - 'Arty' Kunai Grass heads" From "Darkroom Soldier": "Infrared Experiment. Throughout his two years in the Pacific Theater, Hill regularly tested cameras, photographic techniques, and film. This image, as he explained to Martha, was 'an infrared study' of kunai grass against a sky made more dramatic by using a special infrared film with a dark red filter. These increased contrast and reduced haze." ("Darkroom Soldier" caption authored by George Venn)
