The plaque on this rock memorial reads, "To the memory of Chief Old Joseph, died 1876"

An old church in Enterprise, OR with a tall steeple. [There is a photograph of a very similar looking church in "History of Elgin, Oregon" by Bernal Hug (page 159, picture no. 108). The caption reads: "Pine Grove Church."]

A man, and two women riding side-saddle have stopped their horses in front of "J.D. McKennon Groceries."

"Early Wallowa" The town is visible off in the distance, and there is a split rail fence running along the foreground.

"Perry area?" There are three people standing on or near the train tracks at the right of the picture where the white rail fence is located. Other than the tracks, this is mostly a scrubby forested area.

"Perry area?" This is a very rural area with only a few signs of man's intrusion. There are electricity poles and a wire fence.

"Perry area?" This is an old train bridge running over a frozen river. Snow is on the ground and covers the mountain in the background.

"Perry" Four people have bicycled to a wood bridge over a river. The dirt road that leads up to the bridge has a train track crossing it, and there is a train coming. There is also a large log jam in the river between the bridge and the train.

"Perry" This is a foot or horse bridge running over the river. There is a large log jam on the other side of the bridge. On the left bank, there are some small wood buildings.
