"5th Air Force Memorial Wall at the Air Force Academy - Colorado Springs - May 2002" Plaque commemorates: "13th Squadron, 3rd Bomb GP. - WWII - 7 Dec 1941 - 2 Sep 1945 - In honor of a very special group of young men who served their country so faithfully while enduring incredible hardships and dangers in New Guinea, the Philippines, and Okinawa. Some lived and some died - all of them gave their very best. They exemplified the very finest in American military tradition - may they be remembered forever."
