Description
"C-46 Refueling" From "Darkroom Soldier": "Fueling. A soldier waits on his tanker as high octane fuel fills the plane's tanks. On their return from missions, planes were refueled immediately. Hill described the day: 'Rode down to the line with Baxter this afternoon and shot twenty five feet of Kodachrome on one of our planes as it came back from a mission. Got it as it taxied into the parking area, the gas and oil trucks coming up to service the plane, crews piling out and walking away with parachutes and brief cases of maps."
