"Copy negatives of New Guinea native Women - bare breasted" From "Darkroom Soldier": "Three Coastal Women. Among all New Guinea tribes, tropical heat and humidity required partial nudity in order for anyone to be comfortable. Traditionally, women wore grass skirts without tops while men usually wore breechclouts and sometimes penis sheathes. After European contact, some coastal women adopted waistcloth skirts, as pictured here, and men sometimes adopted short pants or other western clothing -- as seen in other Hill photos."
