"Celebration Shenanigans! The War is Over - 17th Tact Recon Sqdn" From "Darkroom Soldier": "Victory Dancers. When news of the Japanese surrender came on August 15, soldiers celebrated in all kinds of ways. Here, men from four different groups donned grass skirts acquired somewhere earlier in the war. Happy to be alive, ready to go home with their boots on, these are the four dancers and their units: (left to right): Edward Fowler (Tech Supply), Allen Christensen (Operations), Adrian Merritt (Medics), Walter Brinkofski (Armament)."
