Description
An account of the resource
"Flight Doc giving injection Dr. Louis Speers" From "Darkroom Soldier": "Giving Shots. Flight Surgeon 1st Lt Louis Speers wields the needle. Typhus, tetanus, cholera, and other inoculations kept tropical diseases under control. Describing the process to Martha, Hill wrote, 'Got a cholera shot this evening. Routine. We have had so many, but they pay dividends. Now, if they could just find some succesful cure for jungle rot. It's an infection similar to impetigo - usually starts on the hands between the fingers as little watery blisters. It can be a 'homer' [to the U.S.] and it's exceedingly disagreeable even in the mildest form." ("Darkroom Soldier" caption authored by George Venn)
